Medequip trial

Cornwall Council is trialling a new scheme to prevent medical equipment getting thrown away.

NHS and council issued items like crutches, wheelchairs and frames should be returned when no longer needed, but too often they're being thrown away.

Dedicated containers are available at Launceston recycling centre. Items will be collected by Medequip, then checked, cleaned and reused wherever possible.

If you no longer need equipment, please contact your provider to arrange collection or drop it off at one of the four trial sites - Launceston, Truro, Newquay and Falmouth.
